Community Impact Project

We have partnered with the City of Ocala Recreation and Parks Department to help develop playgrounds and pavilions for children and families to enjoy in and around the Ocala/Marion County area. We look forward to providing this valuable resource for the children and families of our community.

In addition to our ongoing community impact project, the Junior League of Ocala annually undertakes eight to ten projects that are “Done in a Day."  For each “Done in a Day” project, a group of twelve to fifteen Junior League members assist local organizations or social service agencies through hands-on volunteer work and financial support. Typical projects include assistance with painting, gardening, special events or physical improvements.  Most projects can be completed in one day, typically a Saturday or Sunday, although events can be scheduled on a weekday evening.  Funding of up to $500 is available and must be specifically related to the project described on the application.  Requests must include the need for volunteers; requests for funding only are not accepted.
